2013 Business and Law Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship at AUT in New Zealand

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) offers Academic Excellence Scholarships to undertake postgraduate research in the Faculty of Business and Law. These scholarships are available for both domestic and international students. To be eligible for these scholarships applicants must have to be enrolling for the first time in the Bachelor of Business (Honours), the Master of Business or the Master of Laws. The scholarships are awarded to cover tuition fees. The duration of the scholarship for Master of Laws is for up to one year of full-time study while for the Bachelor of Business (Honours) or the Master of Business is for up to two years of full-time study.

-Have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in their undergraduate study, usually achieving at least an A- average or better in the major of their undergraduate study.
-Be enrolling for the first time in the Bachelor of Business (Honours), or the Master of Business, or the Master of Laws.
-Be enrolling on a full-time basis.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Both domestic and international students can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The purpose of the Business and Law Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship is to encourage students with an excellent academic record to undertake postgraduate research in the Faculty of Business and Law. All applicants for this scholarship must have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in their undergraduate study, usually achieving at least an A- average or better in the major of their undergraduate study. Recipients will be selected by the Faculty of Business and Law scholarship selection panel.The decision of the Faculty of Business and Law scholarship selection panel is final.If the panel is of opinion that there is no applicant of sufficient merit, the scholarship will not be awarded.

Duration of award(s): The tenure of the scholarship for recipients enrolled in the Master of Laws is for up to one year of full-time study.
-The tenure of the scholarship for recipients enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Honours) or the Master of Business is for up to two years of full-time study.
-Students completing a Bachelor of Business (Honours) under the scholarship may have the scholarship renewed for subsequent enrolment in the Master of Business. Renewal of the scholarship for a second year will be based on the recipient achieving at least a B+ grade average at the end of their first year.
-In exceptional circumstances, a recipient may apply to the Scholarships Office for a deferment of his or her scholarship.

What does it cover? The scholarships will cover tuition fees.
